TechZone Terms & Conditions - As of September 2020 (Last Checked Dec 2023)

THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ALL OF OUR VEHICLES

​

• All confirmation of bookings requires a deposit of £100 to be enclosed with booking form. A booking will not be considered agreed until the deposit has been paid and funds are cleared. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation in the post.

 

• In the event of a cancellation the following percentages of any deposit paid will be held by Tech Zone. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

​

1.     50% for a cancellation over 14 days prior to the event.

2.     100% for a cancellation under 14 days prior to the event.

​

• All balances due must be paid at least 3 working days prior to the event unless the balance is paid in cash in which case it may be paid on the day of the event. We can accept a cheque on the day of the party if agreed with the office before hand If for any reason a cheque paid is not passed by the bank we will pursue non payment through the small claims court adding costs and interest at 6% above the base rate at the time.

• Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New years Eve after 4.00pm and New years Day are non working days for our staff. Depending on staff availability we may be able to do the party but it will incur a 50%-100% increase in cost. This will be laid out clearly and alternatives offered on booking request. 

​

• Any cancellations of additional packages must be made in writing via email. Failure to do may result in you still getting charged for the package.

​

• Due to health and safety we can have a maximum of 18 on board, over 15 guests onboard incurs an additional £15 charge per head. 

​

• We endeavour to send the vehicle of your choice but can never guarantee this will be granted. If you have a particular choice in vehicle please make this known in writing. 

​

• If we will not have access to power and require the generator we will need written confirmation 7 days advance to make sure it is available and in the correct vehicle this is subject to availability.​

​​

• Although every effort is made to keep our environment safe clean and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements anyone entering the Tech Zone vehicle does so entirely at their own risk.

​​

• Tech Zone vehicle is a strictly no smoking vehicle

​​

• In the unlikely event of individual platforms i.e. playstation not being operational during a party no compensation will be offered or considered.

​​

• No food or drink to be brought on board without prior consent of the crew.

​​

• Shoes to be removed while on board the TechZone vehicle

​​

• In the event of damage to our equipment or vehicle that is caused by excessively harsh treatment or vandalism and that is deemed purposeful we reserve the right to charge to the originally contracted person the full amount to repair or replace the equipment

​​

• Under no circumstances can we be held responsible for any damage to driveways, ground’s or surrounding fences, walls or plant life, that is considered to be caused by our vehicle, crew or party goers. It is the party planner’s responsibility to take advice from a qualified person whether the grounds are suitable to support our Vehicles (Truck 7500 kilos, Truck 2 3500 kilos & Trailer 2000 kilos).

• By inviting us onto your grounds the party organiser is accepting full responsibility for any damage caused.

​​

• Although we will endeavour to arrive at the time booked we cannot be held responsible for events such as traffic hold ups. We will in the event of late arrival do our best to continue the session until the correct amount of time has elapsed.

​​

• In the event of unforeseen circumstances (i.e breakdowns) we reserve the right to send any vehicle available to ensure that your party can still go ahead. We will always try and inform the party organiser of any changes.

​

• We cannot be held accountable for an issues that may arise from being plugged in to your home electrics, we ask that you use our cables and plug directly in to the socket, to ensure the correct fuses are in place. Our vehicles draw 1kw of power then a further 1kw with use of heater or air-condition unit.

​

• In the unlikely event of a major technical failure on board Tech Zone a full refund will be offered or an alternative date arranged. 

​

• We will not tolerate bad behaviour, bad language, aggressive behaviour or threatening behaviour to our crew or other party goers. In the event of such acts we reserve the right to end the session immediately and any money paid will be forfeited.

​

• Anyone considered being under the influence of drugs or having consumed an excessive amount of alcohol will not be allowed on board.

​

• During the event we may take some photographs for our portfolio and possible inclusion on our web site. If this is not acceptable please make sure a member of the crew is aware of your request. You are of course welcome to take your own photographs of the event. The event organiser is wholly responsible for gaining any necessary permission from third parties (eg. other parents) for photographs to be taken of event attendants.

• If on arrival we find the venue to be unsuitable for any reason we reserve the right to abort the session without compensation. We suggest that the party planner may wish to arrange for our principle to visit the site to confirm suitability. This service incurs a small charge. We have agreements with several public houses and other venues across the south that are happy for us to use their facilities in exchange for the party being catered by them. Please contact us for details.

• We always try to have 2 members of staff present on board but different vehicles may offer different amounts of staff. Due to sickness's, clash of schedules we may not always be able to offer 2 staff onboard. 

​

• We park our vehicles where you ask us to as long it is safe to do so and we aren't blocking the road for other users, if we receive a parking ticket parking during the party it will be your responsibility to pay this.

​

• TechZone has full Public Liability Insurance and staff are DBS checked.

​

• We are fully protected from the weather rain or shine but due to our vehicles being our livelihood we will not consider risking ourselves and the vehicles driving through snow. If it does snow then we will reschedule your party to another date agreed upon with yourselves. 

​

• In the event we are effected by a outbreak such as corona virus we will reschedule the party to another date when things have calmed down. We wipe down all of our equipment before, after and during the party to limit any outbreaks from party to party. 

​

 

VIDEO GAMES RATINGS

​

• We operate an all or no-one policy regarding age appropriate games; this means that if one child is not allowed to play we will not allow any of the children to play the games.

​

• It is the party organisers responsbility to ensure that parental consent is obtained from all parents/guardians of party guests to play age related games.

​

• In the event of an out of age game being requested the crew will ask the organiser for a final decision to be made. We cannot be held responsible in any way for obtaining the permission of the guests parents/guardians. 

​

• Full names of guests that are prohibited from playing certain games must be given to us in writing at the beginning of the party.

​

• We can provide you with information regarding the games and can give you our personal recommendations on the day. 

​

BY ATTENDING OR HOSTING ONE OF OUR PARTIES YOU AGREE TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
